Pearl Kimmel Mitchell, 89, of Toronto, Ohio passed away Friday Jan. 29, 2010 in the Weirton Geriatric Center. Pearl was born July 24, 1920 in Affinity, W.Va., daughter of the late George Thomas and Pearl Kimmel Humphreys. Pearl was a 28 year employee of Timet-Titanium Metals Corp., Toronto Plant, a member of the Toronto 1st. Presbyterian Church, where she served as a Deacon and Elder, was a former member of the Steubenville Women's Club, a former Hospice Volunteer, The D.A.R. and was a 17 year member of the R.S.V.P.In addition to her parents Pearl was preceded in death by her 1st. husband Bill N. Christian, by her 2nd husband Harvey Edward Mitchell Sr., her son Harvey Edward Mitchell Jr. and her daughter Nancy Carnahan. Surviving are; her son-in-law Sheldon Carnahan of Toronto, daughter-in-law Sandy Mitchell of Waterport, NY., five grandchildren, Donna (Gary) Switzer of Steubenville, James David Libetti of Steubenville, Shaun (Mickey) Libetti of Toronto, Charla Marie Mitchell of Weirton and Ryan Edward Mitchell of Virginia. Four Great-Grandchildren and 2 Great-Great-grandchildren. Friends and family may call on Sunday from noon-4 pm., at the J. E. Foster Funeral Home, Inc., 701 Findley St. Toronto. A committal service will be held on Monday at 12-Noon at the Mausoleum Chapel of Union Cemetery in Steubenville( Everyone will meet at the chapel). Rev. Michael Bongart will officiate the Service.
