Obituary

Raymond A. Fiddler, 89, of Rayland, OH, passed away Saturday, March 7, 2015 in East Ohio Regional Hospital in Martins Ferry, OH.

Ray was born August 15, 1925 in Mineral City, OH, son of the late William E. and Minnie Rudolph Fiddler.

He was a retired from the Operating Engineers Local # 18 where he worked as a Heavy Equipment Operator. Ray was also a member of the Brilliant American Legion Post # 573 and the Mingo Sportsmans Club.

Ray was a Veteran of the US Navy having served his country in WWII.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Shirley M. (Richardson) Fiddler who passed away Nov. 11, 2006; his three brothers, Bob, Clarence and Floyd.

Ray leaves behind his son, Eddie (Bonnie) Fiddler of New Alexandria, OH; his three granddaughters, Paula (Dwain) Harkins of Rayland, OH, Marla Kagle of St. Louisville, OH, and Trena (John) Keyoski of New Alexandria, OH; his care giver, Carol (John) Dunn of Rush Run; his sister, Pearl Keller and brother, Willard Goog Fiddler both of Mineral City. Ray also leaves behind seven great-grandchildren, Brandon and Lakin Harkins, Chelsea and Benjamin Kagle and Kolby, Brody and Ainsly Keyoski and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation for Ray will be held on Tuesday March 10, 2015 from 4-8 pm at the J.E. Foster Funeral 107 Hill St. in Smithfield, OH, where his funeral service will be held on Wednesday at 11 am. Kenneth Kourim will officiate the service and burial will follow in Holly Memorial Gardens in Pleasant Grove, OH. Military Graveside Honors will be provided by the Brilliant American Legion Post #573.
