Raymond W. Hubbard, 91, of Smithfield, OH, passed away Sunday, January 5, 2025, in the Trinity West Medical Center in Steubenville, OH.

Ray was born November 30, 1933, in Follansbee, WV, son of the late Wylie and Sarah (Rigby) Hubbard.

He worked in commercial construction and later retired from the IBEW Local #246 in Steubenville. He was a 65-year member of the IBEW.

Ray attended the Christian Church in Smithfield and was a 50-year member of the Unionport Masonic Lodge #333 where he was Past Master twice.

Ray also was a veteran of the US Army, 82 Airborne, during the Korean War era.

In addition to his parents, Ray was also preceded in death by daughter, Carol Ann Burns, son, Raymond Hubbard, and stepson, Donald Butler.

Ray leaves behind his wife, Susan K. (Lescalet) Butler Hubbard, whom he married April 5, 2002; children, Deborah Jean (Randy) Wiley of Toronto, OH, Wylie Michael Hubbard of Everett, WA, Sarah Lee Willis of Columbus, OH, and William C. (Jamie) Hubbard of Wintersville, OH; step-children, Lisa Brashear of Rayland, OH and Leigh Ann (David) Little of Wellsville, OH; sister, Shirley Lanaghan of Steubenville; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Ray's wishes were to have private services for his family and be laid to rest in the Unionport Cemetery. Arrangements for Ray are in the care of the J.E. Foster Funeral Home in Smithfield. www.jefosterfh.com
