Richard E. "Rick" Burns, 62, of Steubenville, OH, passed away Wednesday January 18, 2012 in Trinity Medical Center West. Rick was born March 25, 1949 in Steubenville, OH, son of the late Edward and Beryl (Tuttle) Arthurs. Rick served in the United States Air Force during the Vietnam War; he worked for many years as a laborer for Labor Local #809 and also as a truck driver for Rogers Trucking. Rick was a Past District Commander of the V.F.W. District # 6, founder of the Vietnam Veterans Support Group Chapter #1, a member of the Wintersville American Legion; he also belonged to the Bucktails Hunting Club and was a Volunteer Fireman for Pleasant Hill Fire Dept. Station 54.He is survived by his wife of 42 years Aggie (Kerr) Burns; his two daughters, Tiffany (Tom) Roberts and Angela Burns and the love of his life, his granddaughter Alexandra "Alli" Roberts. Rick also leaves the other loves of his life his Terriers and his Beagles.Visitation for Rick will be held on Sunday, January 22 from 12-3 pm and from 6-8 pm at the J.E. Foster Funeral Home 701 Findley St. Toronto, OH. Funeral Services for Rick will be held on Monday at 11:00 am with Rev. Jason Elliott officiating. Burial will follow in Island Creek Cemetery in Toronto, OH with Military graveside honors conducted by the American Legion.
