Richard T. "Rich" Granatir, 67, of Steubenville, OH (Pleasant Hill), passed away Monday Feb. 3, 2014 in Trinity Medical Center West ER.Rich was born Aug. 12, 1946 in Steubenville, son of the late George and Florence Shane Granatir. Rich was retired from Norfolk and Southern Railroad Mingo Jct., OH, where he was a conductor. He was an avid trap shooter and loved to play golf. He also served his country in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War. Surviving are his children, Lori (Chris) Joyce of Steubenville, Richard J. (Rachael) Granatir of Irondale and Jamie Granatir of Steubenville; six grandchildren, Christopher, Brandon and Jeremy Joyce and Coleman, Madeline and Adrienne Granatir. A Memorial Service for Rich will be held on Thursday at 5:00 pm at the Bell Chapel United Methodist Church in Pleasant Hill. Rev. Jeff Proya and Rev. Jason Elliot will provide the Service and burial will be at the convenience of the family. Following the Memorial Service everyone is invited to stay and share in a time of remembrance and fellowship with the family at the church. Rich's arrangements and service are in the care of the J.E.
