Richard "Dick" Michael Sherrin, born April 30th 1932, age 78, died peacefully on November 7, 2010 at his home of natural causes.Dick was the first born son of the late Richard Joseph and Verna "Garble" Sherrin. He was also preceded in death by his younger brother Robert Joseph Sherrin and sister-in-law Helen Sherrin.Dick is survived by his wife Clara "Jean" Sherrin, whom were married September 30, 1954. They shared 56 wonderful years of marriage together. Dick is also survived by his two children, Richard (Sherry Lawrence) Sherrin and Patricia "Tish" Sherrin and his grandchildren Richard Michael, Shannon Marie, Michael Joseph and his younger brother Thomas Patrick (Irene Elek) Sherrin. When Dick was a young man he played drums for several polka bands. He also worked for the court house for many years before going into private practice with Joseph Quattrone and later his son. He was a respected Certified Public Accountant and local businessman for over 35 years. Visitation for the family will be private on Tuesday evening from 6-8pm at the J.E. Foster Funeral Home in Toronto. A public Mass celebrating Dick's life will be held on Wednesday at 10am at Holy Family Catholic Church in Steubenville with Msgr. Gerald Calovini as celebrant. Dick's body will lie in state at the Church from 9am up until the time of the Mass at 10am. Entombment will follow in Mt. Calvary Cemetery in Steubenville, OH.
