Ricky Boring, 65, formerly of Bolivar, PA, passed away August 9, 2026, at home in Dillonvale, OH. He was born February 6, 1961, in Bolivar, son of late Ira Leroy and Betty Lou (Penrose) Boring.

Ricky was also preceded in death by the love of his life, Sherry Lynn (Hale), and his niece, Amanda Burkett.

He is survived by his children, Stacy Caren of Texas, and Ricky and Halley both of Michigan; stepdaughter, Rose Tarnacke of Michigan; grandchildren, Abigail and Freya (Stacy); Briggs (Ricky); Brittany, Tyler, Clayton, and Brodie (Rose); companion, Julie Tennant of Ohio; siblings, all of Pennsylvania, Debbie and Kenny Bell, Peggy Howard, Janet and Chuck Payne, Roger and Cindy Boring, Jerry Boring, Tammy and Edward Lawrence, numerous nieces and nephews.

Rick was a long-time employee of Quality Metal Craft (Michigan). He was an avid hunter and fisherman, and he loved to watch westerns on TV.

Ricky’s wishes were to be cremated, and services will be held at the convenience of his family. His arrangements are in the care of the J.E. Foster Funeral Home in Smithfield, OH.
