Robert O. 'Bob' Batson, Sr., 63, of Toronto, passed away Tuesday, April 29, 2008 in Kindred Hospital in Oakdale, PA. Bob was born on October 15, 1944 in Steubenville, OH, son of the late A. Glenn and Hannah (Bonnell) Batson. Bob was previously employed by National Lubrication Products in Brilliant, OH and was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Toronto. Bob is survived by his wife, Sandy (Holmes) Batson whom he married on October 14, 1972; one son, Robert O. Batson, Jr. and his wife Marilyn of Steubenville; one daughter Tammy and her husband Matt Germann of Cottonwood, AZ; two sisters, Sue Batson and Betty Holmes and her husband Bill both of Steubenville. Bob is also survived by his four grandchildren, RJ, Hannah, Justin and Zachary. Visitation for Bob will be held on Thursday, May 1, 2008 from 6-8pm at the J.E. Foster Funeral Home in Toronto. Bob's funeral service will be held at 8pm Thursday evening following the visitation with Rev. Kevin Rinkes officiating. Burial will be at the convenience of the family.
