Robert K. "Bob" Burskey, 77, of Toronto, OH, passed away Friday, Sept. 16, 2011 in the Valley Hospice Care Center North in Steubenville, OH.Bob was born on Sept. 6, 1934 in Toronto, OH, son of the late Michael and Elizabeth (McElravy) Burskey.Bob was very proud of his service to his country having served in the US Army, 82 Airborne Division. Bob was retired from Signode Strapping Co., where he worked as an Operator; he was a member of the Toronto American Legion Post # 86 and the 82nd Airborne Division Association.In addition to his parents, Bob was preceded in death by his siter, Betty Hissem.Bob is survived by his wife, Millie (Paxton) Burskey of home whom he married on April 29, 1960; his daughter Kim and her husband Fred Gorney of Toronto, OH; his son Michael and his wife Lisa Burskey of Weirton, WV; two granddaughters, Sarah and Emily Burskey; three good friends, Norm Allen, Jim Cadegan and Roy Montgomery.Per Bob's wishes his services will be privately held at the convenience of his family. Bob's arrangements are in the care of the J.E. Foster Funeral Home in Toronto, OH. Memorial donations may be made in Bob's memory to Valley Hospice.
