Robert Michael Kaniecki, 75, of Toronto, OH, passed away Thursday Feb. 17, 2022, in UPMC Presbyterian Hospital in Pittsburgh, PA.

Bob was born May 9, 1946, in Pittsburgh, son of the late Edmund and Jeannette (Kopicki) Kaniecki.

Bob was retired from Weirton Steel Corp., where he worked as a millwright.

He was a member of the Steubenville VFW, the DAV, Toronto Eagles, where he served as former President and Trustee, and the Toronto American Legion Post #86, where he was presently serving as a Trustee.

Bob served his country in the US Army, during the Vietnam War, as a Medic.

In addition to his parents, Bob was preceded in death by his brother, Donald Kaniecki.

Surviving is his wife, Dottie (Hanlon) Kaniecki, whom he married Feb. 6, 1993; two daughters, Catherine (Tom) Thomas and Ann Kaniecki both of Toronto; son Russell (Shelley) Easter of Richmond, OH; two sisters, Cynthia Ann Kaniecki and Mary Ann (Mark) Graham both of Columbus, OH; 8 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held Sunday Feb. 20, 2022, from 2 PM to 5 PM at the J.E. Foster Funeral Home in Toronto. His service will follow at 5 PM starting with the Toronto Eagles, followed by a eulogy from his daughter Cathie, and ending with the Toronto American Legion Honor Guard.
