Robert J. Flug Nemitt, 77, of Toronto, OH, passed away Friday, January 16, 2015 in the Valley Hospice Care Center North in Steubenville, OH.

Robert was born July 21, 1937 in East Liverpool, OH, son of the late Joseph and Elizabeth Berish Nemitt.

Flug was a member of St. Francis Roman Catholic Church in Toronto. He worked for 44 years, his first six years at Weirton Steel and 38 years, retiring from, Timet-Titanium Metals Corp. in Toronto where he worked in the Shipping Dept.

He was a Veteran of the US Army and he was a member of the Toronto Torvets Drill Team under the direction of Andy Blaner of Toronto.

In addition to his parents, Flug was preceded in death by his sister, Betty Jane Swickard.

Robert leaves behind his wife, Patricia (Miller) Nemitt whom he married May 12, 1962; his son, Rob (Nancy) Nemitt of Houston, TX; his daughter, Mary Beth (Tom) Steele of Canfield, OH; his brother, Joseph (Donna) Nemitt of Toronto and his four grandchildren, Carrie and Christina Steele, Katie and Tyler Nemitt.

Visitation for Flug will be held on Monday, January 19 from 4-8 pm at the J.E. Foster Funeral Home in Toronto, OH. A Funeral Liturgy with Mass will be held on Tuesday, Jan. 20 at 10 am at St. Francis Catholic Church in Toronto. Burial will follow in Toronto Union Cemetery. Additional visitation will be held Tuesday morning from 9 9:45 am at the funeral home prior to the Mass and there will be Vigil Services Monday evening at 7:45 pm at the funeral home.

Military graveside honors will be provided by the Toronto American Legion Post #86. Memorial donations may be made in Flugs memory to: St. Francis Catholic Church or Valley Hospice.
