Robert E. "Bob" Rebres, 70, left his earthly home and went to live with his heavenly father on Wednesday, May 5, 2010.He was born on May 8, 1939 in Toronto, OH, son of the late Leslie, Sr. and Susan (Hanas) Rebres, the last one of nine children. Bob was born with Cerebral Palsy and was unable to walk or talk. Nonetheless, he had a great mind and could not only understand conversation but also communicate through sounds and gestures. He was living at Dixon Health Care the last years of his life. Bob loved everyone, and everyone gave that love right back. Even when he wasn't feeling too well, he always managed a smile for anyone around him. We know he is smiling up in Heaven right now. Bob was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Toronto, OH.In addition to his parents, Bob was preceded in death by his brothers, Frank, Andy, Leslie Jr., George, James and John.Bob is survived by one sister, Pauline O'Hara and brother William "Bill" (Rosemary) Rebres and his sister-in-law Pat Rebres all of Toronto and his sister-in-law Audrey Rebres of Hopedale, OH; nieces and nephews include Pete (Bonnie) O'Hara, Paulette (Rev. Dave) Martin, Mark (Linda) Rebres, Laurie (Robert Jr.) Minor, Paul Rebres, Gail (Trevor) Nickerson, Sandy (Vance) Leggett and Della Sue Rochus. Bob is also survived by several great-nieces and nephews. Visitation for Bob will be held on Friday, May 7th from 6-9pm at the J.E. Foster Funeral Home in Toronto, OH, where Bob's funeral service will be held on Saturday at 11am with the Rev. Kevin Rinkes officiating. Burial will follow in Toronto Union Cemetery.
