Robert L. Rish, 91, of Smithfield, OH, passed away May 22, 2012 in the Wyngate Senior Community in Weirton, WV.Bob was born March 7, 1921 in Smithfield, OH, son of the late Lawrence Rish and Rose (Hennebert) Rish Markum.Bob was a member of the Smithfield Methodist Church, Past President of Tri Co. Little League; member of Apple Festival Committee and Smithfield Historical Society. He was retired from Wheeling Pittsburgh Steel where he worked as a pump repairman. Bob was a veteran of the US Army having served his country in WWII and Korea. In addition to his parents, Bob was preceded in death by his wife, Sarah F. (Sellers) Rish who passed away in 2006; his daughter Jannine R. Rish who passed away in 1971 and his brother Wayne Rish.Bob is survived by his two sons, John R. (Jackie) Rish of San Antonio, TX and Lawrence W. (Karen Burrier) Rish of Bloomingdale, OH; his daughter Gretchen L. (Norman) Phillips of Port Washington, OH. Bob also leaves behind 7 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. Friends and family are invited to attend a Memorial Service for Bob on Wednesday May 30, 2012, at the Smithfield United Methodist Church at 11:00 am. John R. Rish and Rev.
