Robert E. Wellington, 94, of Toronto, OH, passed away Saturday Dec. 10, 2022, in the Trinity Medical Center West in Steubenville, OH.

Bob was born Nov. 12, 1928, in Toronto, son of the late Hiram and Tracey (Nation) Wellington.

Bob was the owner/operator of Robert E. Wellington Enterprises. He previously worked at the former Kaul Clay Pipe Co. in Toronto and was also a mechanic for the city.

Bob was a Veteran of the US Army having served his country in the Korean Conflict. He was a member of the Toronto American Legion Post #86, the former Toronto American Legion TOR-VETS Drill Team, the former Brays Chapel Church, and Island Creek Cemetery Board.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by sister, Joann Kurty.

Bob leaves behind his wife, Jacqueline A. (Gault) Wellington, whom he married Nov. 3, 1956; two sons, Robert Shawn (Diane) Wellington and Brian (Anissa) Wellington both of Toronto; four grandchildren, Brett (Diana) Wellington, Matthew (Jessica) Wellington, Joshua (Ashley) Wellington, and Shane Wellington; one great-grandson, Bryson Wellington.

Visitation will be held Wed. Dec. 14 from 3 pm to 7 pm at the J.E. Foster Funeral Home in Toronto, OH, with his funeral service following at 7 pm. Rev. Bobbyjon Bauman will officiate, and Military Honors will be presented by the Toronto American Legion Honor Guard.

Bobs family would like to thank Dr. Iyer, the Teramana Cancer Center, and all the nurses and staff at the Trinity Medical Center for their compassionate care.
