Robin Kaye (Hastings) Rozenek, 64, of Rayland, OH, passed away Saturday, Aug. 24, 2024, in the WVU Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown, WV.

Robin was born June 30, 1960, in Martins Ferry, OH, daughter of the late Robert Hastings and Carol (Dickerson) Hastings, who survives.

She retired from the Buckeye Local School District where she worked as the secretary to the Superintendent. Robin was also a member and the Treasurer of the Mt. Pleasant United Methodist Church.

In addition to her father, Robin was also preceded in death by her sister, Stacey Hastings.

Robin leaves behind her husband of 33 years, John D. Rozenek whom she married Aug. 24, 1991; one son, John R. Rozenek of Rayland; one daughter, Ali (Brent) Kendziorski of Hopedale, OH; her mother Carol of Mt. Pleasant, OH; brother, Robert (Kathy) Hastings of Greenville, SC; two sisters, Michelle (Vern) Eikenberry and Charla (Sean) Kelley both of Mt. Pleasant; and several nieces and nephews.

Family and friends will be received on Tuesday, Aug. 27 from 2 to 4 PM and 6 to 8 PM at the J.E. Foster Funeral Home in Smithfield, OH, where her funeral service will take place on Wednesday at 11 AM. Pastor Margaret Hoder will officiate, and burial will follow in the Northern Cemetery in Smithfield.
