Roger Lee Reed, 63, of Dillonvale, OH, passed away Friday Jan. 31, 2014 at his home.Roger was born Jan. 25, 1951 in Moundsville, WV, son of the late Herbert and Zelma Hewitt Reed. Roger was retired from Wheeling-Pitts. Steel Corp. in Follansbee, WV, where he worked as a pipefitter. He served his country in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War. In addition to his parents, Roger was preceded in death by his sister Martha Chambers and by his brother Robert Reed.Surviving are his son Thomas (Amy) Reed of Oakdale, PA; his daughter Jenna (Jeremy Sampson) Reed of Washington, PA; three grandchildren, Mackenzie, Kennedy and Carter Reed. Memorial visitation will be held on Monday Feb. 3, 2014 from 11 am to 12 noon, at the J. E. Foster Funeral Home, Inc., 107 Hill St. Smithfield, OH, where at 12 noon the Adena American Legion will provide a Veterans Honor Service.Condolences may be offered to the family at www.jefosterfh.com
