Obituary

Ronald Bruce Firm, 75, of Toronto, OH, passed away Monday, May 16, 2016 in the Memories of Marie House in Toronto.

Ron was born June 11, 1940 in Toronto, son of the late Harry Bruce and Violet Marie (Petty) Firm.

He retired from Staceys IGA Grocery Store with 38 years of service as the head stock clerk. Ron also served his country in the Vietnam War with the US Army.

In addition to his parents, Ron was preceded in death by his wife, Mary A. (Bell) Firm who passed in 2002; an infant brother James and two sisters, Marla Costello and Flo Cronin.

Ron leaves behind his son, Brian Firm and daughter, Lori (Jay) Clark both of Toronto; his brother Samuel (Joyce) Firm of Brilliant, OH; his three sisters, Dorothy (Junior) Rawson of Toronto, Shirley (Al) Kinyo of Bloomingdale, OH and Brenda (Herb) Swartz of Toronto; his brother in law, Bob Cronin of Toronto; two grandsons, J.C. Clark and Abrin Firm and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation for Ron will be held on Thursday, May 19 from 2-4 & 6-8 pm at the J.E. Foster Funeral Home in Toronto. His funeral service will be held Friday at 11 am at the funeral home and burial will follow in Island Creek Cemetery. Military graveside honors will be provided by the Toronto American Legion Post #86.
