Ronald D. Hood, 88, of Toronto, OH, passed away Friday, March 23, 2018 in the Weirton Medical Center in Weirton, WV.

Ron was born Oct. 31, 1929 in Salineville, OH, son of the late George and Jessie Marie (Morrow) Hood.

He was retired from International Mill Service and previous to IMS he worked at the former Kaul Clay in Toronto.

In addition to his parents, Ron was preceded in death by his wife, Leona (Warner) Hood in 2009, his sister, Viola Francis and his half-brother, Gerald Hood.

Ron leaves behind his three daughters, Lori (Wesley) Sanford of Middleburg, PA, Rhonda (Ron) Parsons of Barberton, OH and Tammy (Randy) Clark of Wellsburg, WV; his sister, Sheila Pinkerton of Toronto and his eight grandchildren, Daniel (Erica) Sanford, David (Sarah) Sanford, Derek Sanford, Nathaniel, Caleb and Seth Parsons and Luke and Caitlynn Clark.

Visitation for Ron will be held on Tuesday, Mar. 27 from 4-7 pm at the J.E. Foster Funeral Home in Toronto where his funeral service will be held Wednesday at 11 am. Wes Sanford will officiate and his burial will follow in Island Creek Cemetery in Toronto. www.jefosterfh.com.
