Ronald Albert Kacel, 54, of Smithfield, Ohio passed away Thursday at the Bishop Hodges Care Center in Wheeling, WV. Ron was born Dec. 16, 1956 in Steubenville, Ohio, son of the late Albert and Helen Yoblinski Kacel. Ron was a long time employee of the Jefferson Co. Landmark Co. He was a member of the Ohio Valley Christian Church in Wheeling, WV, the Smithfield Vol. Fire Dept. and he served on the Jefferson Co. Fair Board, where he enjoyed shuttling everyone from the parking area to the main fair grounds as one of the tractor drivers.Ron is survived by two brothers David (Linda) Kacel of New Alexandria, OH and Richard (Margaret) Kacel of Toronto, OH; two nieces Alysia Kacel of Fla. and Destiny Kacel of Toronto, OH; a nephew David (Paula) Kacy Jr. of E. Liverpool, OH; his cousin John (Marge) Koren of Rayland, OH; his aunt Elizabeth Slezak of Martins Ferry, OH and his very special friend Gladys Keener of Rayland, OH. Visitation for Ron will be on Monday from 4-8 pm. at the J.E. Foster Funeral Homes, Inc., 107 Hill St. Smithfield, OH where his Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday at 10:00 am with Pastor John Chestnut officiating.
