Ronald W. (Tugboat) Thomas, 55, formerly of Toronto, OH, passed away Wednesday, April 23, 2014 at Grand Strand Regional Medical Center in Myrtle Beach, SC.Ron was born October 17, 1958 in Toronto, OH, son of Doris (Edgar) Thomas, of Toronto, and the late William C. Thomas.Ron was a member of Riverview Methodist Church in Toronto. He was a graduate of Toronto High School, Class of 1976.He worked for 18 years for Ohio Edison, Sammis Plant in Stratton, OH before going to work for US Can Corp. in Weirton, WV where he took an early retirement and joined his family residing in Myrtle Beach, SC.Surviving is his wife, Ginger Montgomery Thomas of Myrtle Beach and their three children, Ashley Thomas, Zac Thomas and fiancAC. Jessica Marburger and Andrea Thomas all of Myrtle Beach and his beloved Best Friend Bubba. He is also survived by his sisters, Cyndi Thomas of Toronto and Kathy (John) Plohal of Arizona and his twin brother Donald (Diane) Thomas of Mingo Jct., OH and several nieces and nephews. Family and friends will be received on Sunday, April 27 from 2-4 pm and 6-8 pm at the J.E. Foster Funeral Home in Toronto, OH. His Funeral Service will be held Monday, April 28 at 11 am at the funeral home with Rev. Josh Elliott officiating.
