Rose M. Bell, 87, of Smithfield, OH, passed away Friday Oct. 17, 2014 at her home.

She was born March 21, 1927 in Rhodesdale, OH, daughter of the late Stephen and Julianna Gelencser Barbai.

Rose worked at the Smithfield Post Office and attended the Steubenville Business College until she accepted a position as secretary at the Ohio Valley School of Nursing, a position she held for 30 yrs.

In addition to her parents, Rose was preceded in death by her husband Floyd Bell; four sisters, Alma, Helen, Jewl and Mary; two brothers, Steve and Julius and her nephew Gary Barbai.

Surviving is her sister, Ruth Kensicki of Dillonvale, OH; her care giver, Jeff Hilt of Richmond, OH and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews.

Rose remained the writer, not the producer of the family.

Family and friends are invited to attend her graveside service on Tuesday Oct. 22, 2014 at 11 am at Northern Cemetery in Smithfield, OH. Rev. Wilford Simeral will officiate her service.

Roses arrangements are in the care of the J. E. Foster Funeral Homes, Inc. 107 Hill St. in Smithfield, OH.
