Rose M. Carlisle, 87, of Toronto, OH, passed away Wednesday Feb. 6, 2013 in the Laurels of Steubenville, OH. Rose was born June 24, 1925 in New Castle, PA, daughter of the late Patrick J. and Catherine Geibel Callahan. Rose retired in 1990 as a Nurse's Aid with Ohio Valley Hospital (Trinity East). She was a member of St. Francis Roman Catholic Church in Toronto, OH. In addition to her parents, Rose was preceded in death her first husband Kenneth Morris, her second husband Edward Carlisle and by four brothers Jim, Jack, Leo and Pat Callahan.Surviving are two daughters, Sandra (Darrell) Gossage of New Cumberland, WV, and Patti (Steve) Hockenberry of Steubenville, OH; three grandchildren Ryan, Darci and Shannon and three great-grandchildren. Rose is also survived by two sisters, Mickey McConnell of Volant, PA and Peg Scalla of Beaver Falls, PA.Visitation will be held on Sunday from 4-8 pm at the J.E. Foster Funeral Home, Inc., 701 Findley St. Toronto, OH, where Services will be held on Monday at 10 am. Burial will follow in Toronto Union Cemetery.
