Rose A. (Walter) Telek, 80, of Rayland, OH, passed away Sunday March 8, 2026, in the Valley Hospice Care Center North in Steubenville, OH.

Rose was born May 9, 1945, in Martins Ferry, OH, daughter of the late Lloyd and Violet (Wallworth) Walter.

She had previously worked for Medi-Home Care and Defelice Medical Supply Co.

Rose was also preceded in death by her husband Clyde “Sonny” (married Oct. 2, 1965; died July 21, 2022), son Daniel, grandson Timothy, five sisters—Sarah Meredith, Violet Carter, Mary Carrothers, Janet Meredith, Ella Richards—and two brothers, Elvis and Chuck.

Surviving is her son, Matthew (Elaina) Telek, of Rayland; daughter in law, Lynette Telek of Mt. Vernon, OH; grandchildren, Kim (Andre) Nixon of Marietta, OH, Marley (Chad) Thompson of Dillonvale, OH, and Mitchel (Jaymeson) Telek of Rayland; two great-grandsons, Crew Nixon and Rowan Thompson; two brothers, Alan Walter of Adena, OH, and Lloyd Walter of Zanesville, OH, and sister, Ruth Moore of Cincinnati, OH.
