Roy C. Nation was born in Steubenville, Ohio and was a 1987 graduate of the Ohio School for the Deaf.

He was an exceptionally hard worker. During his life he worked many jobs including auto repair and helping special needs children with school transportation.

He loved the outdoors and enjoyed golfing, hunting, and fishing when he could as well as sci-fi and fantasy films.

Roy was not born into an easy life. He was hearing impaired from birth and along with his siblings he had multiple homes growing up. But through it all, Roy never lost his faith in God. Even when he battled cancer.

He is preceded in death by his parents, John L. Nation Sr. and Carole Hamilton-Bickerstaff, and his sister-in-law Ursula Nation.

Roy is survived by his siblings, John Nation Jr. (Pete) of Pierpont, Ohio, Carl Nation of Delaware, Ohio, Carole Cross (Bob) of Dublin, Ohio, Ann Arigoni of Toronto, Ohio, Larry Nation (Etta) of Weirton, WV and David Jones (Samantha) of Atlanta, GA as well as many nieces and nephews.

There will be a private family memorial.
