It is with great sorrow to announce the passing of Russell R. Clark, who departed this world on January 1, 2026, at his home in Rayland, OH.

Russell was born April 17, 1940, in the small mining town of Plum Run, OH. He was preceded in death by his parents, Dwight and Irene (Noble) Clark, his sister, Roxann Welshans, and the mother of his children, Faye (Verhovec) Clark.

He attended Smithfield High School and retired from the Ford Motor Co. in Lorain, OH, and attended Brilliant Christian Church.

Russell is survived by his wife, Mary Ann (Kniszek) Clark, who was his care giver along with Stonerise Hospice. He is also survived by his children, Russell (Shelby) Clark of Rockwood, PA, Marian (Mark) Haddad of Medina, OH, Joyce Clark of Vermilion, OH, Dawn Clark (Bart Pruett) of Sautee Nacoochee, GA, and stepdaughter, Patricia (Steve) Diomedi. Russell also raised a boy, Eric (Stacey) Clark. Also surviving is his brother-in-law, Vernon Welshans of TX. He had 18 grandchildren and 26 great-grandchildren; they all loved their grandpa. He also leaves behind cousins, nieces, nephews, and step grandchildren.

Russell's family would like to thank Stonerise Hospice, for helping take care of Russell, they were very good to him.

Russell's wishes were to be cremated, with no viewing or services. His arrangements are in the care of J.E. Foster Funeral Home in Smithfield, OH. www.jefosterfh.com
