Our sweet, beautiful Mother, Ruth Ann (Barbai) Kensicki, 90, of Dillonvale, OH, passed away Saturday, December 11, 2021, her husband Walter passed on the same day December 11, 13 years prior.

Born to Hungarian immigrants Steve, and Julia (Gelencser) Barbai, on May 10, 1931, in Smithfield, OH.

She was the youngest of 8 children and a coal miners daughter. She wed her one and only Walter Kensicki and moved to Arizona and raised three children.

She was a great cook, kept an immaculate house, and loved to polka with her husband.

Ruth retired from Tucson Medical Center as a supervisor in the cashiers/payroll dept, then Ruth and Walt moved back to Ohio.

Ruth is survived by her three children, Vince Kensicki, Jody Kensicki, and Linnet Friedman; two grandchildren, Daniel and Clayton Friedman; her ex-son-in-law, Rob Friedman, sister-in-law Pat Barbai, brother-in law Joe Kensicki and many nieces and nephews.

A special thank-you to Randi Conway, who cared for our mother as her own for the past seven years. Jody and Randi battled Ruth's Alzheimer's together.
