Ruth Yvonne Pastre, 86, of Smithfield, OH, passed away Sunday May 19, 2013 at the Gables Care Center in Hopedale, OH. Ruth was born April 4, 1927 in Harpersville, OH, daughter of the late John B. and Sarah Little Domenick. Ruth was a homemaker and earlier in her life had worked at the Company Store in Piney Fork. She was a member of St. Adalbert Roman Catholic Church in Dillonvale and was an active member of the former Our Lady Queen of Peace Church in Smithfield. Ruth was the former Treasurer for the Smithfield Alumni Assoc. and was a longtime volunteer for the Easter Seals of the Ohio Valley. In addition to her parents Ruth was preceded in death by an infant son Baby Emilio and her sister Betty Rotella. Surviving are her husband Emilio J. Pastre of their home, her daughter Renee Pastre of Bloomingdale, OH, her son Rick and his wife Susan of Smithfield, OH; three grandchildren, Ricky and Ashley Pastre and Sarah Kendziorski. Ruth also is survived by her brother John and his wife Martha Domenick of Smithfield, OH. Visitation for Ruth will be held on Tuesday May 21, 2013 from 2 pm to 8 pm at the J. E. Foster Funeral Homes, Inc., 107 Hill St. Smithfield, OH. Wednesday visitation will take place at St. Adalbert Catholic Church in Dillonvale from 9:15 am til time of Ruth's Funeral Liturgy with Mass at 10 am. Msgr. John Kolesar will celebrate her Mass and burial will follow in Holly Memorial Gardens.
