Sharon Darlene Hoover, 71, of Steubenville, OH, passed away Sunday, Nov. 11, 2018 in the Carriage House in Steubenville.

Sharon was born April 3, 1947 in Steubenville, daughter of the late William T. and Arzella M. (Peters) Alvis.

She was a member of the Pleasant Hill Baptist Church and a homemaker.

In addition to her parents, Sharon was preceded in death by her husband, Gary J. Hoover, Sr. who passed in 1988, one brother and five sisters.

Sharon leaves behind her four children, Gary J. Hoover, Jr. of AL, Scott (Ginger) Hoover of Bloomingdale, OH, Sherry (Kurt) Hashbarger of VA and Amy Hoover of Steubenville; two sisters, Debbie Kopras of Steubenville and Kathy Mills of Wintersville, OH and her nine grandchildren.

Visitation for Sharon will be held Wednesday, Nov. 14 from 10 am til the time of her funeral service at 12 noon at the J.E. Foster Funeral Home in Toronto. Rev. Tyler Bayless will officiate and burial will follow in Union Cemetery in Steubenville.
