Sharon M. Hubbard, 63, of Toronto, OH, passed away Thursday, September 10, 2026, in the James Cancer Center on the Campus of the Ohio State University in Columbus, OH.

Sharon was born May 5, 1963, in Morgantown, WV, daughter of the late Joseph May and Denise (Bowen) May, who survives. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Steve Hubbard, who passed February 16, 2024.

Sharon worked for 22 years at Stacey’s IGA in Toronto, which later became Riesbeck’s, serving in the bakery, deli, and dairy departments.

She leaves behind her mom, Denise; her two sons, Steven J. and John M. (Aubrey Tharp) both of Toronto; three sisters, Denise (Richard) Thorn of Chester, WV, Stephanie (Spencer) Wilson of Weirton, WV, and Amy (Leander) May-Wilson of Grove City, OH; six grandchildren, Tyree, Eli, Mazie, Ezekiel, Dax, and Zuri, and several nieces and nephews.

In accordance with Sharon’s wishes, she will be cremated. Her family will host a gathering at the Toronto Eagles, 112 N. Fifth Street, on Wednesday, September 16, from 2 to 6 p.m. Attendees are kindly asked to bring a food item.

Arrangements for Sharon are in the care of the J.E. Foster Funeral Home in Toronto.
