Sharon L. (Flaherty) Morris, 75, of Smithfield, OH, passed away Thursday, May 28, 2026, in the Gables Care Center in Hopedale, OH.

Sharon was born November 13, 1950, in Wyatt, WV, daughter of the late James H. and Dolores M (Lynsey) Flaherty.

She was a graduate of Buckeye West High School in Adena, OH. Sharon may be remembered from working as a cook for over 20 years at the Willow Inn restaurant on Rt. 250. She later worked in the Housekeeping Dept at Mountaineer Racetrack in Chester, WV.

In addition to her parents, Sharon was preceded in death by her son, Thomas D. Flaherty, grandson, Arnold Trouten, III, sister, Betty Wilson, brothers, Danny Flaherty, Sr., and James Flaherty, brothers-in-law, Ed Varadi, and Terry Wilson, nephews, Gary Flaherty, II, Sean Flaherty, and JT Painter, and niece, Deanna Wilson.

Sharon leaves behind her husband, Dennis Morris of home; daughters, Melissa (Buster) McCain of Adena, OH, and Clarissa Wilson of Smithfield; siblings, Randy (Rita) Flaherty of Mingo Jct., OH, Gary (Marietta) Flaherty of NY, Wilma (Dick) Bird of Massachusetts, Kay Varadi of Boliver, OH, and Mary Wilson of Smithfield; granddaughters, Becca Hayman and Rainy McCain; great-grandchildren, Cooper, Harper, Jordan, David, Christian, and Wesley; friend, Arlene Bezak of Adena and several loving nieces and nephews.

Visitation is set for Tuesday, June 2, from 4 PM to 7 PM at the J.E. Foster Funeral Home in Smithfield, OH, where services will be held Wednesday at 11 AM. Sharon’s family will lead her service, and burial will follow in the Northern Cemetery in Smithfield.
