Shirley M. Bodnar, 89, of Toronto, OH, passed away Monday, June 7, 2021, in the Valley Hospice Care Center North in Steubenville, OH.

Shirley was born August 14, 1931 in Stratton, OH, daughter of the late Curtis and Wanda (Dunlap) Henry. She was Catholic by faith.

In addition to her parents, Shirley was preceded in death by her husband, Michael A. Bodnar, her brother Rodney Henry, her sisters, Carol Scott and Barbara Koehnline, and her son-in-law, John Watts.

Shirley leaves behind her loving children, Michael T. (Carol) Bodnar and Melissa Watts both of Toronto, and Keith (Melissa) Bodnar of Bloomingdale, OH; her sister, Jackie Sachs of Calcutta, OH; her grandchildren, John Michael (Julie) Watts of Mars, PA, Elizabeth and Michael Bodnar of Toronto, Natasha and Victoria Bodnar of St. Petersburg, FL, Keifer Bodnar of Bloomingdale and her first great-granddaughter to be born in October.

A private funeral service will be held Friday, June 11 at the J.E. Foster Funeral Home in Toronto. Fr. Thomas Vennitti will officiate, and burial will follow in the Toronto Union Cemetery.
