Stanley Janoski, 87, of New Alexandria, OH, passed away Thursday Dec. 5, 2013 in the Sienna Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Wintersville, OH.Stanley was born February 14, 1926 in Glen Dale, WV, son of the late Jess and Sophie Dlugopolski Janoski.He was a member of the Smithfield Evangelical Friends Church in Smithfield, OH, a 1945 graduate of Smithfield High School and has been a Cleveland Indians Fan since 1945. Stanley retired from Weirton Steel Corp. in 1988 with 43 years of service working in the 54" Strip Steel Dept.In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother John and his sister Frances.Stanley leaves behind his wife, Rosie Evanovich Janoski, of home, whom he married on May 7, 1948; his two daughters, Patricia (J. Robert) Wetherell and Rhonda Hannan all of New Alexandria; four grandchildren, Shane (Erica) and Brent Wetherell and Thomas (Tonya) and Ryan (Danielle) Ellis; two great-granddaughters, Meleia Ellis and Emily Stewart and one great-grandson Ethan Devore. Visitation for Stanley will be held on Sunday, Dec. 8 from 2-4 and 6-8 pm at the J.E. Foster Funeral Home 107 Hill St. in Smithfield, OH where his funeral service will be held on Monday at 11 am. Pastor Phil Bliss will officiate the service and burial will follow in New Alexandria Cemetery in New Alexandria, OH.
