Stephan W. ‘Steve’ Foor, Jr., 46, passed peacefully on Sunday, September 6, 2026, with his wife Nikki by his side. True to character, Steve fought hard through his illness and did not give up.

Steve enjoyed gaming and was a fan of Star Wars and Marvel. He played poker and was a tournament dart player. He knew how to relax and had a love of cruises. He was able to put his toes in the sand one last time at Hunting Island Beach in June with his family.

Steve was born May 15, 1980, in Pittsburgh, PA, son of Stephan Foor, Sr. and the late Charlene (Kunsman) Foor. In addition to his mom Char, Steve was preceded in death by his nephew, Michael Foor, Jr., better known as ‘MJ’.

He is survived by his wife, Nicole Backus, whom he married Sept. 17, 2025; his children, Vincent Foor, Angel Foor (Theo Forster), Emily, Oliver and Kara Foor; his brother, Michael Foor, Sr.; his mother-in-law, Jackie Backus, known to all as ‘Grammy’, and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.

Family and friends will be received on Thursday, September 10 from 3 pm to 6 pm at the J.E. Foster Funeral Home in Toronto, OH, where his service will follow at 6 pm led by Fr. Tom Lewandowski.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be directed to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or the Make-A-Wish Foundation.

As we say our final goodbye to Steve, we are reminded and comforted by the words of Luke Skywalker – “No one’s ever really gone.” May the Force be always with you Steve.
