Steve R. "Pete" Kinyo Sr., 88 of (Bradley, Oh.) Dillonvale,passed away Sunday evening Oct. 2, 2005 in E.O.R.H. in Martins Ferry. Pete was born Sept. 4, 1917 in Bradley, son of the late Martin and Katy Torok Kinyo. He was a retired coal miner working for the Bedway Coal Co. Pete was also well known for being a Smithfield Twp. Trustee for 12 yrs. He is a member of the former Our lady Queen of Peace Catholic Church in Smithfield, the Dillonvale American Legion, the Dillonvale Eagles, the Pine Valley Sportsman Club, he bowled for many years and loved to play cards. He served his country in W.W. II in the U.S. Army. In addition to his parents, Pete was preceded in death by his wife Helen (Rodak) Kinyo in 1971, four brothers; William, Martin, John, and Julius. Surviving are two sons; Steve R. ( Tammy ) Kinyo Jr. of Bradley, Dennis Kinyo of Bradley with whom Pete resided, three daughters; Barbara ( Bob ) Kovalski of Rayland, Christine ( Tom ) McCain of Smithfield,Patricia ( Kasey ) Sorenson of Johnston City, Tenn. Six Grandchildren; Michael ( Stacey ) Kovalski and Melissa Kovalski, Tom McCain, Daniel McCain and Fiancee Adrienne Thompson, Anthony and Andre Kinyo. His Sister; Margaret Kovarik of Bradley and his long time companion of many years Charlotte Gretchen of Adena. Friends and family may call on Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. at the J. E. Foster Funeral Home, Inc. 107 Hill St. in Smithfield; and on Wednesday morning at St. Adalbert Catholic Church in Dillonvale from 9:15 am. up til time of his Mass which is at 10:00 am. Msgr. John Kolesar will be the Celebrant and burial will follow in Holly Memorial Gardens in Pleasant Grove. Vigil service will be Tuesday evening at 8:30 pm.
