Suzan L. (Ross) Schoelwer, 75, of Carrollton, OH, formerly of Stratton, OH, passed away Sunday Oct. 4, 2026, in the Senior Suites at Century Farms in Carrollton, OH.

Suzan was born on Feb. 23, 1951, in Mannington, WV, daughter of the late Marion E. and Ruth A. (Lindsey) Ross.

She previously worked as a clerk at J.C. Penney Co. and at Wendy’s.

In addition to her parents, Suzan was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Schoelwer, sisters, Yvonne “Bonnie” Minor, Charlene Meighen, and brothers, Joey, Paul, Charles and James Ross.

Surviving are two sons, Brent Isleman of Stratton, and BillyJo Huff of Fredericksburg, VA; sister, Darlene Ross of Steubenville, OH; brothers, Richard Ross of Steubenville, Roy (Glenna) Ross of Tampa, FL, and Danny Ross of Pottery Addition, Steubenville, OH, and several loving nieces and nephews.

In accordance with Suzan’s wishes, she will be cremated, and the family will gather at a later date. Arrangements for Suzan are in the care of the J.E. Foster Funeral Home in Toronto.
