Suzette OLeary Thompson, 80, of Toronto, OH, passed away Wednesday, August 23, 2017 in the Valley Hospice Care Center in Steubenville, OH.

Suzette was born May 27, 1937 in Toronto, daughter of the late Edwin L. and Mary H. (Stocklask) OLeary.

She was retired from the Edison Local School District where she was an elementary secretary at Pleasant Hill Elementary. Suzette was a graduate of Catholic Central High School and she was a member of St. Francis Catholic Church in Toronto.

Suzette has always been an avid swimmer and hummingbird enthusiast. Her hobbies included reading, playing cards, jig-saw puzzles and collecting seashells.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas L. Thompson and her sisters, Jane Marie Ferrari and Barb Suddith.

Suzette leaves behind her three children, daughters, Lynette (Ron) Peterson of Munroe Falls, OH and Jani Thompson of Toronto; her son, Tim Thompson also of Toronto; her brother, Thomas (Sue) OLeary of Barberton, OH; her grandson, Nicholas Kindsvatter and fianc Ashley; her granddaughter, Terren (Kelly) Alford. She will also be missed by her two grand-dogs, Aidan and Laci.

A Memorial Liturgy with Mass will be held on Thursday, August 31 at 10 am at St. Francis Catholic Church in Toronto. Fr. Thomas Vennitti will celebrate the Mass and inurnment will follow in Center Chapel Cemetery in Pleasant Hill. There will be a gathering in the rear of the church Thursday morning from 9:15 am til the time of the Mass at 10 am.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be directed to Valley Hospice or the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation.
