Teresa M. Knight, 57, of Toronto, OH, went peacefully with her daughter and fianc at her side, on Tuesday June 9, 2015 after a lifelong battle with illness.

Teresa was born on March 12, 1958 in Wellsburg, WV, daughter of Walter D. DeGarmo, Sr. who survives and the late Shirley (Gunion) DeGarmo Woodburn.

She was formerly employed at Weirton Medical Center as a Certified Nursing Assistant and she was a member of St. Francis Roman Catholic Church in Toronto.

In addition to her mother, Teresa was preceded in death by an infant brother, Raymond DeGarmo.

Surviving is her daughter, Jennifer Calderwood Carson of Steubenville, OH; her son, Richard Calderwood of Cincinnati, OH; her fianc, James A. Jim Carter of Toronto; two sisters, Donna (Greg) Webb of Clarksburg, WV and Joyce DeGarmo of Niles, OH; her brother, Walter D. DeGarmo, Jr. of Wellsburg, WV and three grandchildren also survive.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, June 14, 2015 from 1-3 & 5-7 pm at the J. E. Foster Funeral Home, Inc. 701 Findley St. in Toronto. Teresas funeral service will be held on Monday at 10:30 am at the funeral home with Fr. Thomas Vennitti officiating. Burial will follow in Island Creek Cemetery in Toronto.
