IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Terry A.
Fetty
November 17, 1940 – October 28, 2024
Terry A. Fetty, 83, of Reynoldsburg, OH, formerly of Bradley (near Smithfield), OH, passed away Monday Oct. 28, 2024, at his home.
Terry was born Nov. 17, 1940, in Warrenton, OH, son of the late Ellsworth and Wilda (Winland) Fetty.
He was a coal miner having worked for the Ohio Coal, where he was the Union President for over 20 years. After retirement, Terry went to work for the Pickerington Schools as Head Custodian.
Terry was a Veteran of the US Army having served his country in the Vietnam War.
Terry was the family mechanic, carpenter, plumber and anything we needed him to be. He gave selflessly to his family and others. While he was a custodian, if he found out a child did not have lunch money, he would pay for their lunch. He never wanted his family to go without. He was an incredible role model and always the ROCK of our family.
After he retired, he enjoyed going to old car shows, watching football and baseball cheering for The Cincinnati Reds and Las Vegas Raiders, watching Gage play football, going to band concerts and dance recitals. He was our "Santa" at Christmas with games like "Pap" poker. He also loved dogs and his fur baby Molly, who was by his side when he passed away.
In addition to his parents, Terry was preceded in death by six brothers, Henry, Earl, Tom, Carl, Frank, and Gary Fetty and three sisters, Leona, Betty and Judy.
He survived by his wife, Judith A. (Lodge) Fetty; two daughters, Theresa Barker of Newark, OH, and Rhonda (Jeff) Zimmer of Reynoldsburg; one sister, Beatrice Fetty of Steubenville, OH; two brothers, Bill (Jane) Fetty of Yorkville, OH, and Joe (Edith) Fetty of Brilliant, OH; four grandchildren, Markolyn Wallace (Travis), Zach Wallace, Sydney and Abbey Ford, and four great-grandchildren, Paige and Vincent Hay, Zoey Wallace, and Gage Monteith.
Terry's wishes were to be cremated with no services observed. His arrangements are in the care of J.E. Foster Funeral Home in Smithfield, OH. www.jefosterfh.com
