Terry A. Kovalchik, 69, of Bradley, OH, passed away Thursday, September 17, 2015 at Heartland-Lansing Nursing Facility in Bridgeport, OH.

He was born April 7, 1946 in Martins Ferry, OH, son of the late Rudy and Anna E. (Cibulka) Kovalchik.

Terry graduated from Smithfield High School and received his B.A. from Ohio University. He was retired from Buckeye Local Schools where he taught English.

Terry leaves behind his brother, Roger L. Kovalchik, Sr. of Stow, OH; his niece, Linda (Doug) Pietrick of Hudson, OH; his nephews, Roger (Vonda) Kovalchik, Jr. of Spring Hill, TN and Brian (Stephanie) Kovalchik of Cincinnati, OH; his two aunts, Mary Cibulka of Smithfield and Frances Janoski of Bradley.

Visitation for Terry will be held on Saturday, Sept. 19 from 4-7 pm at the J.E. Foster Funeral Home 107 Hill St. in Smithfield. His funeral service will be held on Sunday at 2 pm at the funeral home with Mike Elder officiating and burial will follow in Northern Cemetery in Smithfield.
