STARR, Terry Lu 'Pap,' 75, of Toronto, Ohio, passed from this life on Monday, April 21, 2008, at Trinity West Hospital in Steubenville, Ohio surrounded by his family. Terry was born October 26, 1932 in Gore, Ohio, son of the late Frank and Gale Summers Starr. He married Doris Payne Starr on October 13, 1951.Terry was the owner-operator of Starr's 3rd and Main Sohio Station from 1952-1981. He then changed careers and began rehabbing older homes in Toronto. He was a member of Toronto Volunteer Fire Department for 36 years. He was a member and past President of Toronto Lions Club since 1962. He was a 46-year member of Toronto Lodge #583. Terry had been currently serving as Vice President of PERI, Jefferson County Chapter. He served on Toronto City Council for 14 years and was a volunteer for the Toronto Salvation Army for 23 years. He was a member of Toronto 1st United Methodist Church , where he served in several positions over his years of fellowship. Pap Starr was also very involved with the planning and building of the J.E. Foster Funeral Home in Toronto. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his sister, Avas Hunter, and brother, Neal Starr. He is survived by his wife and children; sons Tim (Beaver Bond), Rusty (Cindy Reynolds), and daughter Becky (Jeff) Foster all of Toronto. He is survived by nine grandchildren; Tara (Matt) O'Rourke, Julie (Brad) Schwartz, Mindy (Gerald) Schlechter, Jay Foster, Emily (Jace) Pearson, Katie Foster, Deanna Foster, Adam Starr, and Shelley Starr, one great grand-daughter; Eliana O'Rourke; one great grandson; Payne Schwartz, and his faithful dog, Suzy.He is also survived by brothers; Clell, Lynn, Max, and Johnnie Starr, and sisters; Madeline Dodds, Rosalie West, and Marilyn Crawford.Friends and family will be received at J.E. Foster Funeral Home, 701 Findley St., Toronto, on Wednesday April, 23 from 1-4pm and 6-9pm. Terry's funeral service will also be held at Foster Funeral Home on Thursday, April 24, at 11am with Rev. Kevin Rinkes officiating. Burial will follow at Toronto Union Cemetery. Memorial contributions can be made to Toronto 1st United Methodist Church, P.O.
