Theresa Demko, 87, Toronto, OH, passed away Monday November 2, 2020 at the Memories of Marie in Toronto.

Theresa was born April 2, 1933 in Toronto, daughter of the late Andrew and Mary (Strunak) Demko.

She was retired from Toronto City Schools in 1998, where she worked for many years as a custodian.

She was a member of St. Francis Catholic Church in Toronto and a 1951 graduate of Steubenville Catholic Central High School.

In addition to her parents, Theresa was preceded in death by two brothers, Michael and John; four sisters, Helen Demko, Mary Lower, Veronica Dieckman and Irene Smolak and her nephew Michael Lower.

Theresa is survived by her sister, Patricia (Richard) Balser of Toronto; her eleven nieces and nephews including Tracy (Doug) Poole of Powell, OH, Todd (Lori) Balser of Carleton, MI and David (Karen) Lower of Powell and by many great and great-great nieces and nephews.

Visitation for Theresa will be held Friday Nov. 6, 2020 from 3 PM to 7 PM at the J. E. Foster Funeral Home in Toronto. Additional visitation will be held at St. Francis Church Saturday from 10 AM up to the time of her Mass at 11 AM. Fr. Thomas Vennitti will celebrate and burial will follow in Toronto Union Cemetery. A Vigil service will be held at 2:45 PM Friday at the funeral home.

Theresas family would like to thank Brenda Haught and the staff at Memories of Marie for their exceptional care and love for Theresa, over the past two and half years.
