Theresa Spontaneo went home to be with the Lord Jesus on Tuesday December 15, 2020. Her companion and a friend were by her side.

Theresa was born in Martins Ferry, OH, December 23, 1952, to Angeline and Etalio Spontaneo. She was preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her sister, Brenda, brother-in-law, Paul, nephew, Nicholas, Aunt Nancy and Uncle Ed Wells all of Ohio; her companion Judy, niece, Misty, nephew, Justin all of Lake Havasu City, Arizona and many cousins and friends.

Theresa grew up in Piney Fork, OH and went to The College of Steubenville earning her degree.

She moved to Southern California in 1982. She went back to school to get her teaching degree and her masters degree in special education. She taught Special Education students at AB Miller High School in Fontana, California until she retired in June 2016. She loved being a Special Ed teacher. When she retired, she moved to Lake Havasu City, Arizona.

Theresa was a member of Our Lady of The Lake Catholic Church in Lake Havasu City. She loved her dogs, Tilly and Peaches and spoiled them. She loved to cook, especially for others. Her Happy Meatballs recipe is all over Ohio, California, Mississippi, and many other states.

Our hearts are heavy for our loss, but we know that she is enjoying eternity and joy that God has promised all believers. We celebrate her life and influence she had on us. We will miss her dearly and the special laugh she had.

Theresas Memorial Mass will be held Saturday September 4, 2021, at 10 am at St. Adalbert Catholic Church in Dillonvale, OH. Msgr. John Kolesar will celebrate, and inurnment will follow in Northern Cemetery in Smithfield, OH.

Theresas family is asking that those attending her service to wear their Pittsburgh Steelers shirts.
