Thomas O. Eltringham, Sr., 69, of Cadiz, OH, passed away Saturday, March 15, 2008 in Trinity Medical Center West. Tom was born on April 20, 1938 in Yorkville, OH, son of the late Charles D. Sr. and Florence (Clark) Eltringham. Tom was retired from being a self-employed floor covering specialist. He was a veteran of the U.S. Naval Reserves, Mingo Sportsman's Club, and the Hopedale American Legion Post # 682. Tom loved to ride his Harley 'Matilda.' In addition to his parents, Tom was preceded in death by his wife, Shirley (Bickerstaff) Eltringham, who passed away in 1994; his sisters, Violet Eltringham and Ellen Kovarik; his brothers, William and Charles, Jr. Tom is survived by his three children, Thomas, Jr. of Miami, FL; Debbie Ward of Bloomingdale, OH; Norma Harris and her husband Joseph of Bloomingdale, OH; one brother, Robert and his wife Sherry Eltringham of Rayland, OH; one sister, Glenna Kinkus and her husband Bob of Yorkville, OH. Tom also is survived by his six grand-daughters, one great-granddaughter and his companion Ruby Roman. Visitation for Tom will be held on Wednesday, March 19th from 2-4 and 7-9pm at the J.E. Foster Funeral Home, Inc., 107 Hill St. in Smithfield, OH. His funeral service will be held on Thursday at 11am at the funeral home with the Rev. Roger Wayne officiating, followed by a veteran's service provided by the members of the Hopedale American Legion Post # 682. Burial will be held at the convenience of the family. www.jefosterfh.com
