Thomas C. Keeney, 52, of Toronto, OH, passed away Wednesday, May 14, 2008 in Mercy Hospital in Pittsburgh, PA. Tom was born on October 30, 1955 in Steubenville, OH son of the late Kenneth G. Keeney and Virginia Frye Keeney who survives. Tom was employed by First Energy, having worked 34 years in the Sammis Plant Maintenance Dept, in Stratton, OH. Tom was a member of the Jefferson County ABATE Group and he was secretary and treasurer of the new American Legion Riders of Post #86 in Toronto. In addition to his mother Virginia, Tom is survived by his wife, Kim (Price) of home; his son Marcus Keeney of Toronto; two grandchildren, Morgan and Thomas Keeney; three step-children, Megan Thomas of Arlington, VA, Hanna Thomas of Toronto, and Mason Larkins of Toronto; his sister Sandy (David) Logan of Toronto, and their two daughters Crystal and Michelle. Tom is also survived by many close friends whose lives he has touched. Visitation for Tom will be held on Friday, May 16 from 2-4 and 6-8 at the J.E. Foster Funeral Home in Toronto. There will also be visitation on Saturday, May 17 from 5-8pm at the funeral home with Tom's Memorial Service following at 8pm. Randy Oiler will be officiating the service. Friends and family are invited to the Toronto American Legion following Tom's service at the funeral home Saturday evening.
