Thomas P. McCart, 72, of Toronto, OH, passed away Saturday, October 09, 2010 at his home surrounded by his family.Tom was born on April 8, 1938 in Toronto, OH, son of the late George R. and Mildred (Steele) McCart. Tom was a member of the St. Francis Roman Catholic Church in Toronto and also was a 1956 Graduate of Toronto High School. He was retired from the First Energy Sammis Plant where he worked in the Maintenance Dept. Tom served his country in the U.S. Army and was a very avid Notre Dame fan.In addition to his parents, Tom was preceded in death by his wife, Judy (Lewis) McCart, his son Tim McCart, his daughter LouAnn Burchfield and his sister Mary Jane Mirasola.Tom is survived by his son, Tom McCart, Jr. of Toronto, OH; daughter Linda McCart of Columbus, OH; two sisters, Kathleen Householder of Toronto, OH, and Ruth Anne (Albert) Patrick of Canfield, OH; two brothers, Pat (Charlotte) McCart of Mississippi, and Mark McCart of Toronto, OH; daughter in law, Sekret McCart of NC, and his son in law Paul Burchfield of Toronto, OH. Tom is also survived by eight grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.Family and friends are invited to attend Tom's Funeral Liturgy with Mass held on Tuesday, Oct. 12 at 10am at St. Francis Catholic Church in Toronto, OH. There will be visitation in the church from 9:15am up till the time of Mass at 10am. Burial will follow in Toronto Union Cemetery.
