Timmy Lee Elson, 65, of Toronto, OH, passed away unexpectedly January 18, 2026 in the Trinity Medical Center West ER in Steubenville, OH.

Tim was born August 8, 1960, in Cumberland, MD to the late Jessie May (Elson) Jenkins. He was also preceded in death by his grandparents, Herbert & Mary Echols, who raised him; daughter Tory Myler, adopted son Ly'Onne Smith, father and mother-in-law, Bill and Mary Lewis, and brother-in-law, Richard Lewis.

Tim graduated from East Springfield High School, then attended Jefferson Community College, where he earned degrees in Radiology and Phlebotomy. For many years, he worked as a security guard, primarily at the W.H. Sammis Plant located in Stratton, OH.

Later, Tim became a stay-at-home dad to his daughters, Tory and Marissa, and grandkids, coaching sports, volunteering at school, and helping at band camp. He enjoyed trains, following the Steelers and Pirates, and his dog Max.

He leaves behind his wife, Terry L. (Lewis) Elson, whom he married July 22, 1988; daughter, Marissa Myler; son, Donald Myler; adopted son, Daxton Benitez; grandchildren, Carissa Myler, Kody Myler, Ariannah Rice, Naviyah Brandon and Major Sinsel; one brother and several sisters.

Services for Tim are private and in the care of the J.E. Foster Funeral Home in Toronto.
