Timothy W. Grimm, better known as "Poppy", 66, of Toronto, OH, passed away Monday, October 26, 2026, in the UPMC Trinity Hospital in Steubenville, OH.

Born August 10, 1960, in Steubenville, Tim was the son of the late Robert and Mildred (Anderson) Grimm. He was preceded in death by his wife, Eileen M. (Hanson) Grimm, who died exactly five years before him, on October 26, 2021, and his two brothers, Dwayne “Cricket” and Daniel “Boone” Grimm.

After high school, Tim worked as a USPS mail carrier before becoming a laborer with Cryogenic Construction on Goulds Road in Mingo Jct. He loved John Denver, Snoopy, mowing the lawn, gardening, and his cats.

Tim leaves behind his son, Josh Grimm of Steubenville; two stepdaughters, Erica Springer (Darrin Whitehurst) of Pittsburgh, PA, and Amy Springer (Eli Cook) of Toronto; brothers, Bobby Grimm of Louisville, KY, and Chip “Chirp” Grimm of Dillonvale, OH; sister, Tammy Wright of Mingo Jct., and his three grandchildren, Kamden, Aspyn, and Evelyn.

Tim’s wishes were to be cremated and he will be buried with his wife in the New Alexandria Cemetery just outside of Mingo. A Celebration of Life for Tim and Eileen will be held next Friday evening from 5 pm to 7 pm at the Stratton Hall in Stratton, OH.
