Tony Verhovic, Jr., 87, of Mingo Jct., OH, passed away Wednesday, Dec. 18, 2019 in the Carriage Inn of Steubenville.

Tony was born Aug. 18, 1932 in Plum Run, OH, son of the late Anthony, Sr. and Marcella (Reinagle) Verhovec.

He was retired from the Ohio Ferro-Alloy Corp. in Brilliant, OH.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Julius, Eddie, and Bill Verhovec and his sister, Veronica Skip Colabelli.

Tony leaves behind his wife, Pauline O. (Roe) Verhovic; his daughter, Linda (Gary) Merritt of Mingo, Jct.; his son, David Verhovic of home; his brother, Donald (Barbara) Verhovec and his sister, Carolyn Verhovic, both of Rayland, OH; two grandchildren, Tabitha and Gary Merritt.

Visitation will be held Saturday, Dec. 21 from 11 am up to the time of his funeral service at 1 pm at the J.E. Foster Funeral Home in Smithfield, OH. Pastor Jack Jackson will officiate, and burial will follow in the New Alexandria Cemetery. www.jefosterfh.com
