Velva M. McClung, 87, of Dillonvale, OH, passed away Monday, Feb. 27, 2023, in the Meadows of Cadiz, OH.

Velva was born Nov. 1, 1935, in WV, daughter of the late Roy Cole and Hettie (Sorrell) Cole.

She was a member of Meadowbrook Church of God in Rayland where she taught Sunday School. Velva was a homemaker who loved to travel and to crochet.

She leaves behind her husband, James I. McClung, whom she married May 18, 1954; daughter, Patty (Gary) Hass of Johnstown, OH; son, James I. (Kathy) McClung, Jr. of Piney Fork, OH; two sisters, three brothers, and four grandchildren, Christina, Andy, Jimmy, and Michael.

Visitation will be held Thursday, March 2 from 4 PM to 7 PM at the J.E. Foster Funeral Home in Smithfield, OH, where a funeral service will be held Friday at 11 AM. Rev. David Hennen will officiate and burial will follow in the Holly Memorial Gardens in Colerain. www.jefosterfh.com
