Vernida Natalie Garo,83 of Smithfield, Ohio; passed away Saturday morning Dec. 9, 2006 in the Humbert Lane Health Care Centre in Washington, Pa. She was born Aug. 19, 1923 in Kentucky, daughter of the late Edward and Gertrude Herns Faulkner. She was a homemaker and was a member of the Rush Run United Methodist Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband William"Bill" Garo, on Sept. 8, 2000, by her daughter Dixie Helms, on Jan. 29, 2004 and by her son-in-law Sid Helms on Nov. 29, 2004.Surviving is her granddaughter Darcy Beckett and her fiance Chris Zenner of Washington, Pa., and her Great-Grandson Evan Zenner of Washington, Pa. Friends and family may call on Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. at the J. E.
